Visual Effects Society’s India Chapter Launches With A Bang

Great news for the animation and visual effects industry in India. India is now finally a part of the VES (Visual Effects Society) being the 12th Chapter worldwide. The first meet up of VES India happened recently at the Red Chillies VFX office in Mumbai, where the nationwide stalwarts of animation and VFX field were present.

The Visual Effects Society (VES) is a global professional honorary society and the entertainment industry’s only organization representing the full breadth of visual effects practitioners including artists, technologists, model makers, educators, studio executives, supervisors, PR/marketing specialists and producers.

VES has over 3,400 members in more than 35 countries worldwide contribute in all areas of entertainment like film, television, commercials, animation, special venue, games and new media.   Headquartered in Los Angeles, the VES has member Sections in Australia, Bay Area (CA), Germany, India, London, Los Angeles, Montreal, New York, New Zealand, Toronto, Vancouver and Washington state.

VES India is formed with the collaborative effort of 50+ Indian artists and specialists in the animation and visual effects domain.

Mr Keitan Yadav, COO of Red Chillies VFX, along with Anish Mulani (Prana Studios) will be heading the VES India section.

The below listed members will take charge for the first ever VES India section:

Anish Mulani: chairman (Prana Studios head, Mumbai)
“VES India is a good platform to come together, share experiences and accomplishments. We plan to personally get in touch with several artists within the industry to help it grow. We are also looking forward to hosting our own award shows.”

Keitan Yadav: co-chairman (RedChillies VFX co-founder and COO, Mumbai)
“I am delighted that VES India chapter has finally been launched. I see it help escalate our talent, provide a platform for our artists and technicians. VES India will help set the path ahead by bringing everyone together and build community where we all can benefit.”

VES starting with its India section is a huge achievement for the animation and visual effects industry in India and we hope that we will benefit tremendously with this step.
